Guided by the forth…
We were heading out for a run and the inital idea was to head West, but the weather was, frankly, shit.
So we went East instead 😊 Well, mainly, until we had to come back then.. well, y’know.
We started off heading down the side of the M74 with a view to cutting over to the West, but we all got bored following the big road so we cut across to Moffat and from there headed over to St Mary’s loch (the road is littered with pockets of nothing – potholes) where we dropped in to the Glen Cafe there.
You need to go there – the food is honest, cheap and tasty. And Kayleigh’s a laugh too.

From the Glen cafe we started back road bashing towards Hawick (where there was Greggs) and wound up a little further north up at Galashiels. I think Graham found a new favourite road heading both to, and from, Lauder up over the hills and over towards Innerleithen.
Can’t say I blame him – the roads around there are a blast.
Once we’d got to Innerleithen it was a short blast back to Carnwath, and then we all parted ways and went home. Well, I went home – they probably went out dogging.
